WING Audio Over IP DANTE
The 64-channel 48 kHz bi-directional WING AOIP-DANTE module brings even more I/O options to the WING, by making it ready for integration with Dante enabled IP networks. Dante is a proprietary AoIP solution from Audinate, which also complies with the AES67 standard for improved interoperability. It uses either standard 100Mbit/s or Gigabit wired network infrastructure with DSCP-based QoS. Mixed sample and bit rates can coexist on the same network. The WING AOIP-DANTE module utilizes 24-bit signal transmission with sample-accurate synchronization and low latency, ensuring the highest audio integrity. The two Ethernet ports of WING even allow for seamless, redundant network access.
Total Control
Once the WING AOIP-DANTE module is connected to a network or personal computer, Audinate's Dante Controller application gives you full control over configuration and signal routing across all your Dante-enabled devices in that network. The internal module offers the advantage of connecting to audio networks using the console’s built-in network ports. So you can keep the expansion slot free for other interfaces, such as recording on SD/SDHC with the WING Live Card, for instance.
Seamless Integration
The WING AOIP-DANTE module instantly makes your WING ready for integration into current Dante/AES67 installations, ensuring reliable sound in large venues such as convention centers, churches or concert halls using standard Ethernet switches (100MBs or 1 Gigabit Ethernet). This is an economical, yet powerful, way to connect I/O options in the network, allowing your software to handle signal routing remotely, rather than patching physical, wired links. The WING AoIP modules - expanding connectivity options for WING users and integrators.
Network Port Configuration
The WING AOIP-DANTE module uses the 2 built-in network ports. These can be operated in three different modes to match your requirements. In switch mode both ports can be used for control data and Dante concurrently. In redundancy mode both network ports are used for primary and secondary connection to a redundant Dante network topology. In this case WING receives and transmits control data on the primary port only. In separate mode one port is permanently used for control data while the other one is used for the Dante connection. This way the built-in module will always meet your networking needs.
Module Assembly Service
WING has an internal main board connector that can directly host AoIP modules. The module should be installed inside the mixer by a certified service center. The retailer offers the AoIP-DANTE module including an upgrade-voucher for a certified service center to ensure a safe and cost-efficient installation. Please note that the manufacturer's warranty of console and module is void in the event of unauthorized assembly.
