Sometimes the most useful feature is a switch. The SL 85S adds one to a cardioid dynamic that's already built for the stage — mute between announcements, swap mics during a set, hand to the next speaker without thumps and pops through the PA.

The cardioid pattern keeps the singer in focus and the room out. A wide, flat frequency response with a presence rise pushes vocals through the band, while a two-stage integrated pop filter knocks down plosives and breath noise. Built rugged for the road, finished cleanly for the venue. High-output signal feeds any preamp.
