About this product

USB audio interface with stereo RCA inputs and outputs, an optical S/PDIF output and a headphone output

Your old tapes and albums, back in rotation.

In a cupboard sits a box of cassettes you have not played in years. UCA202 helps you bring albums from the vinyl and tape eras into your computer. Connect a tape deck or another line-level source to the RCA inputs, plug in the USB cable and record.

One cable, nothing to install

The USB cable also powers the unit. It works with PC or Mac computers without drivers, and an LED confirms it is properly connected. The 16-bit converters record at 32.0, 44.1 or 48.0 kHz.

Hear the transfer as it happens

Switch on the monitor function and the input goes straight to the headphone output, with its own volume control. Listen while the album plays in. Later, play the recordings back on headphones, even with no loudspeakers around. The RCA outputs can also feed monitor speakers or a mixer's tape input.

Beyond the cupboard

Connect a mixer's subgroup outputs to record several signals at once. The optical S/PDIF output feeds the digital input of an effects device. At about 0.10 kg, it travels easily as a sound card for your laptop.
