SB 78A — CONDENSER DETAIL IN A HANDHELD BODY

Most handheld mics are dynamic. The SB 78A is a condenser — meaning faster transient response, more air and detail in the top end, and roughly 10 dB hotter output than the typical dynamic. The result is a vocal that arrives at the board crisp and present, without needing extra preamp gain.

The cardioid pattern keeps off-axis bleed under control with excellent feedback rejection. A switchable low-cut filter tames proximity-effect bass buildup when the singer moves in close. Built-in wind/pop filter, shockmount-style handling-noise reduction, and an end-address form factor that feels like the dynamic mic you already know how to use.
