XM8500 ULTRAVOICE — THE WORKHORSE THAT EARNED THE STAGE
Ask a working singer what they grab when soundcheck is tight and the budget is tighter. Often it's the XM8500. A cardioid dynamic that delivers a flat 50 Hz–15 kHz response with a tuned mid-presence lift — the bump that pushes vocals through the mix instead of fighting it.
The cardioid pattern locks onto the singer and turns its back on stage monitors, drum bleed, and crowd noise. An internal shockmount system kills handling rumble, and a spherical pop filter knocks down plosives and breath. The body is built like a brick — metal construction with a steel mesh windscreen that survives the road, the rehearsal, and the open-mic night that ran long.
