“It has a clean channel, a distortion channel, a reverb control, and not much else to distract you from getting
to the business of making
music. It’s not a clone, either. It has it’s own sound, which is somewhere between a Fender Deluxe and a Vox AC30 – and that’s a pretty good place to be.”
Furthermore, this morning Mark Ryals, who I happen to owe a lunch to, pointed out an exceptional amplifier review of the V22 on YouTube.
In my perfect world, YouTube amp demos would all be done just like this one – the video provides the precise amp settings, guitar choices (including pickup selections), and even delves into the significance of microphone selection and placement. “FrugalGuitarist” cranks a pretty diverse array of tone out of his V22, and we encourage you to do the same.
The V22 is clearly edging out other home recording studio gear in its class–and for good reason(s)!
Found another one! Over at Ultimate Guitar, the V22 has scored a 9.3 out of 10! WOOT!
***UPDATE 2/11/10 AGAIN!***
Another another one! Over at GrumpyRocker. He doesn’t seem very grumpy at all when it comes to the V22!
