BEHRINGER, a world-leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of professional audio and musical instrument products, today announced 55 BEHRINGER EUROLIVE PROFESSIONAL B1520 PRO loudspeakers and 32 BEHRINGER EUROPOWER EP2500 amplifiers have been deployed in a 24-hour broadcasting of music and news in the city of Kitzbühel, Austria during the 66th International Hahnenkamm Rennen (‘Races’) that took place from 20 to 22 January 2006.
For the past 65 years, Kitzbühel has hosted the ski event; and during the Races, the entire city celebrates winter sports with music and news being broadcast by the national radio station Ö3. On BEHRINGER’s participation in the event, Mathias Schmidt, General Manager of BEHRINGER Europe, said, “The Hahnenkamm Races are known to be a congregation of the world’s finest skiiers, sports fans and celebrities. The prestigious sporting event provided an excellent platform for BEHRINGER to showcase not just the performance of BEHRINGER products, but more importantly, their ability to deliver under harsh weather and site conditions.”
“Getting a whole mountain town to dance on the streets is a really demanding task for the installation engineers and the equipment involved,” added Andreas Adlhoch, National Account Manager for BEHRINGER Austria and Switzerland. “Old irregular squares and narrow streets pose significant acoustic challenges, and the cold weather can also put the equipment under severe strain. For this reason, we deployed the most versatile and dependable BEHRINGER range – our “best athletes” to ensure nothing short of a winning performance.”
The Races are in three main cathegories – Downhill, Super G and Slalom. For more information on the event, please visit the official web-site www.hahnenkamm.com
