Brazil’s ProShows Hosts 500 X32 Workshops in Six Months!

Since the release of the X32 last summer, I have had the pleasure of hearing stories fromProshows X32 tour proud X32 owners all over the world. Recently, I heard a fantastic story from our Brazilian distributor ProShows.

Their goal was simple – 500 X32 workshops in just six months. They got the idea for the project shortly after the Expomusic show in October 2012. Knowing their customers would be just as excited about the X32 as they were, they wanted to get the word out. Even for one of Brazil’s largest distributors, this was no small undertaking.

What followed was a massive media campaign using print ads, email marketing, and social media. X32 experts visited local stores where 1700 employees were trained on the expansive features of the mixer. With an average of three workshops a day, in 50 major cities, the campaign ignited excitement for the X32 throughout Brazil.

ProShows reached their goal on April 15, 2013 with their 500th workshop!

Vladimir de Souza, CEO of ProShows, calls the X32, “The best product for the money in the pro audio industry.”

Video: The X32 Live at the Whisky A Go Go

L.A.’s legendary Whisky A Go Go is known for hosting some of the most famous faces in rock music since opening its doors on the Sunset Strip in 1964.

The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Cream, Guns N’ Roses, Van Halen, Elvis Costello, and The Police are just a few of the bands who have played the Whisky.

I was pretty excited to see the X32 in the club that has hosted so many of my favorite bands over the years.

Check out this video where Leonard Contreras, the front of house engineer for rock band Coal Chamber, discusses using the X32 digital mixer for a gig at the Whisky.

CMD DJ Controller Video Manual Now Online

We know paper manuals can be cumbersome to wade through when you have specific question that you want to know the answer to right away.

With the CMD video manual you will be able to quickly find short visual tutorials about all aspects of the CMD DJ controllers.

The videos cover navigation, controls, FX, and much more. Each video covers one specific topic, so you will have instant access to the feature you are looking for.

Currently their are 23 videos, but this is a “living document” that will grow based on feedback and questions directly from CMD owners.

The videos are easy to find – they are located in a playlist on YouTube and in the video section of the CMD product pages – Studio 4A, MM-1, PL-1, DV-1, DC-1, LC-1, and MICRO.

Living Color Takes the X32 on Tour

Iconic rock band Living Color is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of their double-platinum debut album, Vivid, with a world tour.

On the road with them is an X32 digital mixer. The mixer is being used for their stage monitor mix, in-ear mix, recording, and even their front-of-house mixer – when the mixer they had been using broke down.

X32 Wins Prestigious MIPA Award!

This morning some exciting news from Prolight + Sound 2013 landed on my desk – “X32 MIPA SignDigital Mixer wins MIPA award for Best Live Mixing Desk!” So what’s cool about this award? For one thing, it’s voted on by 160 magazines from around the world. But the coolest thing about winning this award from the Musikmesse International Press is the two mixers it beat out.

The X32 took the top spot over the $8000 Soundcraft Si Performer and the $105,000 DiGiCo SD5 – you didn’t read that wrong, the $2999 X32 beat out a $100,000 mixer. But, I shouldn’t be surprised. I have received notes and photos from happy X32 owners all over the world, from Gauteng, South Africa to Pokhara, Nepal (keep those coming!).
