Keisha Jackson

Born in Brooklyn, the daughter of legendary soul singer, Millie Jackson, Keisha pursued a career in law until she began singing background for her mother at age 17. 

She recorded 2 self-titled albums with Sony Music and in 1995 she began a brief 4 year stint in Musical Theater.

Keisha is also an accomplished session vocalist. She has sung background on recordings for Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone and several others

She is featured on Sleepy Brown’s underground masterpiece, “The Vinyl Room”, Da Brat’s “Get Somebody”, Raphael Saadiq’s “Live at the House Of Blues”, Black rock diva, Joi’s “Co-Stars” and a duet with Anthony David, “Lady”.

Keisha has toured with, R&B’s Faith Evans, sung with hit group No Doubt, and currently sings with Erykah Badu (9+yrs) and the worldwide rap duo, OutKast (9yrs). She is one of the most sought-after background vocalists today.

Keisha has appeared on countless TV shows, including Jay Leno, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, Chappelle’s Show, MTV, Jimmy Kimmel, American Music Awards, the Grammys, and may also be seen on Dave Chappelle’s Block Party (currently on DVD), BET’s Lyric Café, season two of Sunday Best and backing a variety of artists on many episodes of the Mo’Nique Show.

Keisha is currently recording her third record…a Soul/Blues inspired effort.

Keisha Jackson is a seasoned performer and travels to Europe every year to perform in the many Soul Music Festivals. She is well known amongst her peers as one of the hardest working women in the industry. Keisha also began her own Coaching Agency for vocalists, One Voice Entertainment, in 2000 and continues to assist aspiring vocalists in the Atlanta area.
